Lanzarote, Canary Islands – Spain

Sorry for being absent on my blog but I was living an unforgettable experience in Lanzarote, the northernmost island of the seven Canary Islands (El Hierro, Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura) and surely the most transformed by a series of eruptions whose traces are violently visible on the island’s surface.

Its incredible and unique geological and natural landscapes are a treasure to discover, together with its dramatic cliffs, wonderful beaches, caves and grottos and thousands fat plants that grow in the most unusual places, showing that life is stronger than the most disruptive event.

I advise you to rent a car/motorbike and drive on the island’s roads enjoying its landscape changing in a couple of miles and stopping wherever you feel like.

Apart from the main touristic centers (the capital Arrecife and the main touristic destination Puerto del Carmen) are the little towns and villages whose white, flat buildings with blue or green shutters create a nice and romantic contrast to the black/reddish shade of the volcanoes. In these little fishermen’s towns, one can eat delicious fresh fish in one of the tiny restaurants.

El Golfo and this incredible black beach with the Green Lake.

Sagrada Familia, Barcelona, Spain

sagrada-familia-interno-3 73300054-bcn-temple-sagrada-familia sagrada-familia-visit-in-barcelona-38ad8 Sagrada_Familia_01Sagrada Familia is Barcelona’s symbol and Gaudi’s ultimate masterpiece. Once you get the chance to visit catalonia’s capital city, the majestic Sagrada Familia, is of course a not-to-miss attraction.

Thousands and thousands of people every year visit this church, get dazed under the mesmerizing facades of the temple, go up to enjoy the an incredible aerial view and get astonished by the incredible architecture, by the details that Gaudi has been able to put into this art masterpiece.

Of course he wasn’t able to see it completed, and I’m really sorry for him.

Where I’d like to be right now

These are a few places where I’d like to materialize right now… I’m really in need of travels, of discovery, of adventure, of magic. In a word. I’m in need of living.

And you? Where would you like to be right now?

1 – Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland is always in my heart, there’s something magnetic and incredible in this place, that seems emerged from another dimension. Just, let me go there now.

Reykjav’k, Iceland

2 – Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias – Valencia, Spain

Another place that seems like something surreal, like a Dali picture in real life.

3 – Sunset on Ali Mountain, Taiwan

Sometimes the clouds are trapped in-between these mountains and gather together to create a sea of clouds. In any case, the view from up there is breathtaking.

4 – Take a stroll on Victoria’s Harbor, British Columbia, Canada

There’s something relaxing in BC’s capital, with its european flavor and its magnificent buildings and there’s something that makes this city the perfect spot to have a stroll and to chill out. Just give it a try. I’ve been there just once, but I’d return right now.

5 – Meditate sitting on a bench in the Kawachi Wisteria Kitakyushu, Japan

Just, wow.

6 – Enjoy the surreal atmosphere of the salt desert, Chott el Jerid, Tunisia

When you reach the center of this incredible lake, surrounded by a ring of mountains that create the perfect background, everything stands still. You watch around, but there’s nothing, and if you’re able not to talk, you’ll be able to hear a silence like we’re not used to anymore. All around, a huge salt plane, whose surface is torn apart by multicolor pools.

7 – London, U.K.

Come on, who wouldn’t like to be there right now?

8 – Enjoying the magical and hectic life of Galway, Ireland, waiting for Saint Patrick’s Day.

Usually referred as Ireland’s cultural heart, Galway is where the celtic roots and traditions seem to dwell deeper.

9 – Relax in the chilling night of Zurich, Switzerland

This city is just a jewel

10 – Have a bath in Hawaii’s crystalline water

I want to swim and be lazy in the sun there so much
